The landscape design of Merzy’s Casa in Trivandrum extends the philosophy of the residence into the outdoors—where tropical modern architecture meets lush greenery and crafted open spaces. Completed in 2019, this project transforms the surroundings into an intimate extension of the home, harmonizing built form with nature. Timber, stone, and water elements anchor the design, while curated plantings create shaded retreats and visual softness. Pathways flow organically, leading residents and visitors through landscaped courts that frame the residence with light, shadow, and texture. The landscape embraces Kerala’s tropical climate—providing cool shaded areas, cross-ventilation, and seamless connections between indoor and outdoor living. Courtyards, garden seating, and transitional verandas emphasize community, relaxation, and continuity with the architecture. At its essence, Merzy’s Casa Landscape is about dialogue: between structure and soil, between privacy and openness, and between tradition and modern expression. It is a living environment, crafted with care, rooted in nature, and designed for timeless serenity.
